Bring new ideas to life

Now that Tynrhyd Retreat is open and welcomes guests to this perfect location for family holidays, reunions, special occasions and residential courses, the next phase will open new opportunities and facilities for all to enjoy.

“Yes! We are making Tynrhyd Retreat BIGGER! That means more fun and a few more things to do on site.  This fantastic and exciting project will be a state-of-the-art amenity centre, ideal for activities such as well-being retreats, yoga, fitness classes and training, gym, performance, workshops such as creative art, photography, and will certainly be disabled friendly. This new centre would allow plenty of space for wedding receptions and celebrations of all kinds, surrounded by wonderful countryside and privacy.” Sian

Gareth & Sian have turned to Crowdfunding for support to hopefully bring this creative project to life via Kickstarter.
So, what exactly is Kickstarter?
Crownfunding helps to find the resources and support needed to make ideas a reality.
Kickstarter helps to spread the word about this project and backers such as yourselves kindly give a pledge as small as £15 and up to £500 and will be rewarded accordingly.
The more pledges received, the more likely the target will be reached and the project will become a reality and rewards reaped!

Check out and please share this exciting new project via Kickstarter to help spread the word:

Bring the old back to life

So, over the past three to four years, Gareth and Sian have been planning, designing, focusing and project managing the first stage of their development in one of the most jaw dropping surroundings in Wales, Tynrhyd Retreat in Devil’s Bridge, Mid Wales.
Just 10 miles from the seaside town of Aberystwyth, Tynrhyd has unrivalled spacious rooms and wonderful views over the Cambrian Mountains and stunning countryside.

Its location provides the 'away-from-it-all' peacefulness that you may long for, but at the same time is easily accessible, with restaurants, cafes and a pub nearby.

Formally a working farm, which belonged to the historic Hafod Estate, Tynrhyd embraces open plan living with flexibility of layout.

Its light and airy the 5* accommodation is set out over two floors, with double height ceilings, Welsh oak beams and floors, and cosy wood burners. There is also a games room with an American pool table, cinema suite, Internet access, ample parking for cars and coaches, and pet dogs are welcome too!

The fun continues outside too, with a full-size rugby/football pitch and a ten-person hot tub, all set in Tynrhyd’s 13 acres of private grounds. However, should you wish to tear yourself away from the tranquility of Tynrhyd there is plenty to see and do in the vicinity, and Tynrhyd is the ideal place for countless activities and attractions in Mid Wales.

We know you’ll be spoilt for choice so we’ve made some suggestions below.

Whatever your reason for staying at Tynrhyd Retreat we know you’ll want to repeat it again and again.” Sian, Gareth and family
